Prospective Postdocs

Water Security and Sustainability Lab always welcomes exceptional postdoctoral researchers to join our research group. Postdoctoral researchers are expected to actively contribute to ongoing research projects, while developing their own research. We provide mentoring and other opportunities to further develop teaching and grant writing skills. Potential post-doctoral researchers are encouraged to contact Dr. Negahban-Azar directly, with their CV and a brief research proposal.


Graduate Student Positions

Water Security and Sustainability Lab always welcomes motivated graduate students to join our research group.
Currently there is no open position available for graduate applicants. However, interested graduate students are encouraged to contact Dr. Negahban-Azar directly for possible opportunities in future. The following descriptions explain the potential graduate student positions in our lab.

Position I:
Prospective applicants for the first position should have BS/MS degrees in environmental science/engineering, natural resources management, biological resources engineering or other closely related fields. Applicants are expected to have solid background in geospatial analysis and ArcGIS; along with demonstrated success in previous academic research. Experience in data analysis, hydrological modeling and decision support systems is very desirable.

Position II:
Prospective applicants for the second position should have BS/MS degrees in environmental science/engineering, environmental chemistry, natural resources management, or other closely related fields. Applicants are expected to have solid background in water quality analysis; along with demonstrated success in previous academic research. Experience in developing and running lab and pilot scale experiments is very desirable.


Undergraduate Researcher Positions

Undergraduate students who are interested in conducting supervised research on Ecological Technology Design, Sustainable Water Management and/or Water Reuse are always encouraged to contact Dr. Negahban-Azar for possible opportunities.
